Biography
They were acclaimed many times as the best musicians and best band by specialized magazines. It’s almost impossible to read a music magazine without seeing DR SIN’s interviews and advertisements. The first Brazilian performance in the mainstream media was during the Hollywood Rock festival, in 1993, where they shared the stage with Nirvana and L7. In 1993, they took the risk of going to the USA. And, after a few concerts there, they signed with Warner International and the album (DR SIN) was released in nine countries. Their second album (BRUTAL) was released in Japan under the name (SILENT SCREAM), followed by the album (INSINITY) and the live album (LIVE IN BRAZIL). The album (LIVE IN BRAZIL) was part of a /box-set/ by Yngwie Malmsteen.
The album (INSINITY) had very special guest appearances. One of them was Jonnathan Mover (former drummer for Joe Satriani, Alice Cooper, Saigon Kick and Einstein) in the song “Imnsonia”, another, Silvio Luiz, one of the most famous Brazilian sports commentators, in the song “Futebol, Mulher e Rock’n ‘Roll’, which became one of the band’s biggest /hits/. In 2000, DR SIN released in Brazil, in a very unique way, another album (DR SIN II). It was distributed in newsstands across the country.
This time, the new work contained a surprise, Michael Vescera on vocals, a famous American singer, former member of Yngwie Malmsteen, Loudness, Obsession and MVP. Other special guests were Sergio Buss (Steve Vai, Tritone) and Roland Grapow (current Masterplan and former member of Helloween).
In 2002, it was the turn of a DVD and a double album, recorded during a concert held in São Paulo, in honor of the band’s 10th anniversary, entitled (10 ANOS AO VIVO).
The following CD was compiled with covers that have the word DOCTOR in their titles, such as “Calling Dr.Love” (KISS), “Rock and Roll Doctor” (BLACK SABBATH), “Dr Feelgood” (MÖTLEY CRUE), “Doctor , Doctor” (UFO), “Dr.Roberts” (BEATLES), “Somebody Get Me a Doctor” (VAN HALEN), among others.
In 2007, DR SIN released (BRAVO), his eighth album, which was conceived based on facts and feelings that human beings experience in their day-to-day lives. It’s a heavy and powerful album.
In 2009 they released the album Original SIN, a re-recording of the album DR SIN I with two bonus tracks “Nephelins” and “You Are My Love”.
In 2011, it was the turn of “ANIMAL”, recorded in the studios of the BUSIC brothers, Sonata 84, in São Paulo. Released by the label LASER COMPANY, with media assistance from Eliane Veronezzi.

In September 2013, he performed at ROCK IN RIO and in October at MONSTERS OF ROCK, then embarked on a 3-week tour in the USA.
In March 2014, they participated as the main band on the Motorcycle Rock Cruise ship.
In 2015, DR SIN started the tour of the new cd “INTACTUS” entirely recorded and produced by ANDRIA BUSIC
In March 2016, the band ends its activities and after 2 years and 7 months, in October 2018, the brothers Andria and Ivan Busic resume the activities of DR SIN, now with guest guitarist Thiago Melo, who previously participated and won the selection of more than 200 guitarists for the band Busic, a parallel project of the brothers.
The single “LOST IN SPACE” was released on all digital platforms on October 19, 2018.
